Gunnar went all out to create his ultimate performance board. The idea was to have the advantages of a short 4’4” board but with enough volume to still be easy to take off on. To achieve this the 63L has a lot of thickness in the center, with the volume kept low out by the rails using a progressive concave rail. The concave rails also keep the bottom of the tail very thin which allows you to carve the board as hard as you want without the tail touching the water. The teardrop outline keeps the volume under the front foot, making it not only easy to kneel on when doing water starts when winging, but it makes it very easy to paddle and pop up on waves when surf foiling. Surf foiling? You heard right, this board was also designed to work as a surf foil board. The compact shape makes it amazing to surf foil and pump.
