The Indiana Downwind/Flatwater Foil Boards are meticulously designed to optimize maximum glide and early release. Crafted by our shaper, Gunnar Biniasch, these boards seamlessly integrate elements from surf, wind, and kite-foil designs, along with features inspired by SUP Race boards. The result is a unique bottom shape tailored specifically for downwind SUP Foiling. The concave rails tapering to the tail create a dual-functionality: first, a thin keel in the tail for an early glide and easy water release, and second, a wider deck section above the keel providing stability for paddling in calm water and navigating through bumps. The round bottom underneath the front foot ensures an instantaneous release from the water, enabling quick acceleration. The narrow outline and small width contribute to effortless water cutting, facilitating smooth acceleration for an unparalleled downwind foil experience.
