BARZ – OPTICS KIAMA MODEL
Floating polarised sunglass with or without a back strap. (With the back strap removed they can still be used as normal sunglasses).
The Kiama is available fitted with grey or amber polarised lenses. The grey lens works best in clear or salt water while the amber tends to work best in fresh brownish water.
The Kiama has a wrap around 8 base curve frame which offers great peripheral vision at the same time offering maximum protection from the elements.
The frame floats in both fresh and salt water due to it’s built in air chambers – the temples are tri moulded to create an air pocket and the nose piece is also hollow. The Kiama has a density of 0.869 g / ml fitted with normal temples and a density of .0.885 g / ml when fitted with the back strap. Fresh water has a buoyancy of 1.00 g/ ml.
The Kiama is available fitted with normal temples or temples that are supplied with a back strap.(as above).
The Kiama frame is easily fitted with prescription lenses for those who require glasses for distance or reading.
Each pair is supplied with a neoprene case, micro fibre cleaning cloth and leash to prevent loss in turbulent water.
The rubberised hollow nose piece assists in buoyancy and also gives added protection in a frontal impact it also assists in keeping the glasses in place while being worn in very turbulent water. With the head strap it it virtually impossible for the glasses to be dislodged.

MOCKE – LIFELINE LEASH
When paddling surfski kayaks offshore, one of the most essential safety accessories is a craft leash that tethers the paddler to the craft. Because surfskis often go out very deep and in very rough water, the chances of capsizing are high which means the chances of losing oneís surfski are also high. If this happens then you could be in a world of trouble!
MOCKE has designed a number of leashes, but our 2019/2020 leash is set apart for a number of reasons.
No “Quick-Release”
The biggest change in our latest leash is that there is no longer a “quick-release” buckle or snap hook. The reason we removed it is simple: Itís not necessary. After many deliberations we concluded that there is not actually a valid reason to have a quick release buckle on the leash.
Apart from it being an unnecessary part of the leasch, having a quick release also creates another area of potential leash failure. It actually makes the leash less safe! There is NO quick release system on a surfski leash which is failsafe. They either corrode so they canít snap closed, they have sharp edges which can cause injury, or simple a manoeuvre of the leash can detach it from your leg. We decided to remove it all together and that there had to be a way to incorporate a quick release function into the velcro calf strap.
With some simple but very clever design we changed the position of the swivel point while decreasing the length of “male” Velcro attachment. We then added a prominent pull tab to the end of the leash making it easy to find. Now, because of the swivel and pull tabís positions, the would always face the front when you put it on your leg, and because the Velcro is shorter, one can quickly remove it with one pull. With any other Velcro calf strap one has to unwrap the strap to get it off, but with the MOCKE calf strap one can do it with one short pull. Because of the way velrco works, the shorter strap doesnít decrease the leashís ìholdabilityî
Some other features
Some of the other stand apart features is that we increased the stretched out length of the leash without increasing its compactness. This was done simply by increasing the size of coils.
Our leash was the first surfski leash to incorporate double swivels. This is still part of our leash design. The double swivels mean that the leash does not tangle or knot up if one capsizes. It also takes pressure off the coiled polyurethane when it is under stress as the cord can freely twist and there is less chance of it breaking.
Finally the ski attachment side one now has a choice of using a Velcro system to wrap around the foot strap, or using the string provided in a leash plug, which many of the skis now offer.
We removed our plastic packaging for this product and it is now packaged

The inventors of reacha are addicted to surfing and stand up paddling. After countless vacations at the French Atlantic coast and weekend trips to Bavarian lakes, they needed a trailer that could carry all their surf and SUP boards. This is how the first prototype came to life: bikes from the junkyard, a wooden frame and an old wishbone boom. Today, this frame is produced at CTM in Rosenheim, Bavaria with years of experience in manufacturing for highest processing quality.
