GATZ CANOE – YOHO 2 HOLZRAND
Yoho 2 Holzrand is an excellent choice for active paddlers who like to paddle both, tandem and solo. Even quite a few solo paddlers may use a kayakpaddle (in a long version) as an aid on extended flatwater trips and to increase speed as well. The high freeboard allows to bring all the gear for an extended trip. The YOHO is a great canoe for all kinds of water. Enjoy quiet lake paddling or add an optional spraydeck to create a very seaworthy craft for whitewater use (grade depending on ability of paddlers, seat options and kind of WW.)
When it comes to sustainabiliity we are talking about a very very long lasting canoe with an expected lifespan of +30 years. Then about 1/3 of the weight is wood which bonds carbon as long as the canoe is in use. All wood is locally grown, milled and airdried at our factory in Cologne.

MARSPORT – NORTHSTAR E6 CARBON GUNWALES
Carbon Gunwales are nothing new ñ but the Northstar system stands out from the rest:
The whole deck and gunwale are built in a mold specific to the model, so it is a one piece construction bonded onto the boat.
The first advantage is the aesthetics ñ there are no seams so it results in a far more beautiful boat that just exudes bespoke quality engineering. Different weaves of carbon highlight the end decks and gunwales yet blend in perfectly with the weave of the boat. This build process also means they wonít turn white or go chalky over time like so many of the alternative cheap methods of construction.
It is also extremely structural and can be bolted through so the boat is infinitely customisable, allowing seats, yokes and thwarts to be installed at the optimum points rather than only at reinforced small areas.
Finally they are replaceable! If you break an in-mold gunwale it is very difficult to replace to the same quality, whereas the E6 composites can be removed and replaced with wood or a brand new set.
