Karan is the first folding kayak to follow the trend of high speed expedition sea-kayaks with straight bow and stern such as the British Pace from TideRace, Taran from Rockpool or Walkyrie from P&H. We kept the successful Narak underwater lines and get some more rocker and increased freeboard to have enough room inside for gear. With stabilairs the boat can be loaded with 160 kg of paddler + gear, while enabling paddling days of 50 km +. This type of expeditioning can now be achieved more easily anywhere in the world with the new Karan : once folded in two bags, you can travel with it in planes, off-road vehicles and such to reach remote put-ins. This 17 footer can also be paddled for short outings and offers room for big paddlers, with speed and comfort on lakes, big rivers or sea.
